Brunswick County is required by state law to conduct a reassessment every six (6) years, with a new reassessment being effective for tax year 2024. Brunswick County has contracted with Pearson’s Appraisal Service, Inc. to assess all real estate parcels by the end of 2023. Pearson’s staff will be visiting properties over the next twelve (12) months to collect the necessary data to complete this process. The appraisers will have an identification badge and there will be a “REASSESSMENT” sign displayed on their vehicles. The name and vehicle information for each appraiser is on file with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and the County Administrator’s Office. Pearson’s Appraisal Service welcomes any information regarding sales or other pertinent data that may assist them in achieving the fair market value.
